Borrowing its name from the iconic city sightseeing buses, this experimental campaign focused on promoting slow, sustainable tourism while exploring the concept of a “psychogeographical adventure”. By incorporating the routine of a partially planned dérive, the project challenged participants to recontextualize their environment and offered ways to stay engaged with what might initially seem like “the most ordinary-looking surroundings”.
The project’s highlight was a public workshop that took the group along a single bus route across Glasgow, stopping at selected locations for conversations ranging from historical overviews to philosophical debates and general trivia, accompanied by small creative tasks. Points of interest were chosen based on their historical significance, potential for discussion, or subjective relevance.
